Welcome Back Staff, Students, and Stakeholders!

The new year is upon us, and our sites are starting to come to life. The first day is an exciting opportunity to start fresh and expand ourselves with new opportunities and partnerships.

Our staff will officially commence our year on August 18th. Students will start back Wednesday, August 23rd

Each staff member brings unique and innovative ideas to not only their own classroom, but also to their teams within the school. We are committed to honoring their expertise and supporting great teaching and learning within each classroom. Each student brings unique experiences, passions and strengths.

Together, we will begin a new year using our shared values to remain focused on students. 2017-18 will be a year for students to grow and flourish in a culture of passion and perseverance.

I am committed to listening closely and learning from all of you how I may best support our Lemon Grove Learners. Welcome back to school- I am honored to be your Superintendent and excited to see our year unfold.

Enroll Now - LGSD Preschool Program

Lemon Grove School District is now enrolling for the 2017-18 school year. We offer part-day, full-day, and dual immersion programs at no-cost.  Services are available to all persons who meet program eligibility requirements. We welcome enrollment of children with disabilities. We offer preschool programs at each of our elementary school sites!

Our program staff is devoted and attentive in ensuring that all of our students are learning in a safe and healthy environment. The program staff is qualified by education, training, experience, and attitude to work with young children. All staff participates in a continuous program of professional development. The maximum class size is 24 children. We maintain the licensing requirements of a 1:8 ratio for all general education classrooms.

At Lemon Grove School District we recognize the importance of a quality early childhood experience for all children and we also value the partnership with families. We realize that children learn both at home and at school, therefore our program promotes parental involvement and facilitates child learning in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.

In an effort to provide the best possible learning experience for the children of Lemon Grove, the Lemon Grove School District is continuously seeking the involvement of parents and community members in the development of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). This plan, which determines the ways in which state funds are spent in California schools, is a living document which guides decision-making at the schools.
